Raul Castro holds official talks with president of Nauru
Cuban President Raul Castro held official talks with Baron Divavesi Waqa, President, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Public Administration, the Interior and Climate Change of the Republic of Nauru, who is on an official visit to the Caribbean island.
During the friendly meeting, that took place on Saturday, the two heads of state spoke about the current state of bilateral relations and bilateral cooperation, as well as about the common interest to continue developing them.
Likewise, they tackled other topics on the international agenda, particularly aspects related to the devastating effect that climate change causes in the small, developing, insular states.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Aaron Cook, Minister of Trade, Industry and the Environment, and Parliament member Milton Dube.
Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, and Marcelino Medina, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
