The presidents of Cuba and China, Raul Castro and Xi Jinping respectively held an informal meeting in New York during the Summit on the 2015-2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
The Chinese head of state and the Cuban president met after they made their statements at the plenary session of the UN General Assembly on Saturday.
Havana and Beijing share very closed political and economic links, backed by a half-a-century-old relationship.
