Kenia Serrano, president of the Cuban Friendship Institute, said that the fight against the over-50-year US economic, commercial and financial embargo is top priority for solidarity actions with the island.
Serrano spoke at the opening of the 7th Asia-Pacific Regional Forum in Solidarity with Cuba, held Monday and Tuesday in Hanoi with the participation of over 200 representatives from solidarity organizations in 18 countries.
“We must keep raising our voices in all possible forums to denounce this arbitrary policy that violates international law,” said Serrano during the ceremony, which was attended by Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, member of Vietnam´s Communist Party Political Bureau and president of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship organization.
The forum allowed participants to learn about Cuban reality and consider the strengthening of supportive initiatives with Cuba.
