The Cuban Angel Fournier finished sixth in the (M1x) men's single sculls in the World Rowing Championships, based in Aiguebelette, France, contest that granted Olympic tickets to the six A finalists for each of the events convened.
According to the website of the tournament, Fournier, silver and bronze medalist in the two previous World Cup editions, stopped the clocks at 7: 04.82 minutes, far from the leaders.
The other Cuban boat in competition was the (M2x) men's double sculls, made up by Eduardo Rubio and Adrian Oquendo, who crossed the finish line of the B final in third place.
