Cuba was visited by 266,821 foreign tourists last July, an increase of 26.1 percent over the same month of 2014, said Tuesday the National Bureau of Statistics and Information.
The tourism market in Canada again led the arrival of tourists to the island, with 72,350 travelers, followed by England with 13,308, and then Spain (12,525), Mexico (12,210), France (10,753) and Italy (10,398).
 8,772 visitors from Germany, 8,413 from Venezuela, Argentina (7,255), Netherlands (5,507), Chile (4697), Switzerland (3,516), Portugal (2 905), Peru (2630), Belgium (2,613) and Brazil with 2,424, also chose the island as a tourist destination in July.
The ONEI said in its statistical report that all these countries increased the number of tourists who arrived in Cuba and the largest increase was recorded by Portugal with 79.7 percent, while sending 1,288 more visitors than the same month last year.
It also noted that from January to July this year visited Cuba more than 2.1 million tourists.
