Evo invites his ALBA colleagues to Fidel's birthday
Bolivian President Evo Morales announced today that he is inviting colleagues from the ALBA (Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America) to celebrate in Havana on August 13 89 years old of Cuban former leader Fidel Castro.
"Hopefully some presidents of ALBA can accompany us, at least, we are inviting, communicating to visit him together the day of his birthday," said Morales.
If the proposal of Morales thrives, at least a dozen Heads of Government of the region would be present in Havana the day before the official opening of the US embassy in Cuba.
ALBA includes Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, St. Lucia and Venezuela.
