 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Didier Burkhalter, whose country represented the interests of the United States and Cuba in decades without diplomatic relations, will travel to Havana to participate in the ceremony of hoisting the American flag in August 14, which will chair the Secretary of State John Kerry, at the headquarters of the new embassy in Havana.
During his stay on the island, Burkhalter will meet with his local counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, according to the Swiss news agency ATS. This is the first official visit of a Swiss Minister to Cuba.
