Diplomatic sources: Israel is willing to improve relations with Cuba
The historical establishment of diplomatic relations between Washington and Havana has opened the door for Israel and Cuba to resume their relations after more than 40 years, although their willingness is often truncated by complex schemes and geostrategic interests.
"The absence of diplomatic relations is not natural. After that the US has restored his with Cuba there is really no reason to have this situation," confirmed to Efe Israeli senior diplomatic sources who requested anonymity.
Israel follows the rapprochement between Cuba and the US since last year and its Foreign Ministry has deeply analyzed the issue in search of an effective policy to the dramatic changes of the past seven months.
"We have no conflict with Cuba and there is much interest in that country between Israelis and vice versa: political, economic and cultural interest.”
