The prestigious cigar producer Oettinger Davidoff opens the door to a possible return to Cuba, after the announcement of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States last December. "We would be very, very happy to return to Cuba and I think Cubans also wish so," said Hans -Kristian Hoejsgaard, CEO of the company, on Wednesday in Basel  (Switzerland) to reporters.
The Basel firm left the island in 1989 by quality problems, but hopes to return to Cuba  controlling the entire chain of cigars production.
The official of the company, however, is aware that the process may take five to ten years and explained that the removal of the embargo is one of the necessary criteria for the return.
