The International Conference “New Scenarios of political communication in digital  realm” concluded yesterday in Havana, after two days of debates and exchanges on different topics of information and communications technologies. 
The information and communication technologies (ICT) are a way to control the world through Internet, said Enrique Amestoy, advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, who noted that the Cold War far from finishing mutated to  cyberspace.
Cuban and foreign experts also discussed how to articulate the growth of social networks with the development of a culture of resistance from leftist positions that promote a different communication.
The use of ICT is not an option for the Left, but a main priority, because the construction of a speech is part of the symbolic war of contents helping to reduce the digital gap suffered by our countries, said Renio Diaz, from the Research Center for International Policy in Cuba.
