Rihanna visits Havana to record a video clip
Barbadian singer Rihanna is currently visiting Cuba for what appears to be recording a music video in several locations in Havana, so she is surrounded by a heavy security operation to protect her from the flashes of photographers.
Throughout Thursday, the singer has been moving from a house in the neighborhood of Vedado and the building where the renowned restaurant La Guarida is located, one of the first private restaurants that was opened in Havana and which was scene of the film Fresa y Chocolate, as reported EFE.
Rihanna changed clothes several times for a photo session and moved, along with video equipments, from one side to another in classic American cars of the forties and fifties which are still circulating in Havana, where they are known as "almendrones".
The pop diva arrived on Wednesday to Cuba from the United States on a private flight and after landing in the Caribbean country she appeared in incognito mode and without notice in the private restaurant La Fontana, Ernesto Blanco, owner of the establishment, told EFE.
"She came straight from the airport because she wanted to eat Cuban food", said Blanco, who got a picture with Rihanna, which has spread like wildfire through social networks.
Since the thaw in relations between Cuba and the US was announced, other celebrities such as Paris Hilton or the model Naomi Campbell have also visited the island.
