Paraguay will send a trade mission to Cuba in order to analyze the possibility of exporting food and other sectors products to the island, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said today in a statement.
The delegation, technical and commercial, will be headed by Oscar Stark, Deputy Minister of Industry, and plans to be in Cuba between July 4th and 9th.
Juan Domingo Astiasaran, Cuba's ambassador in Paraguay, said that there is "a strong possibility that the negotiations to be materialised" due to the respective demands and offers of the two countries. "We are food importers and that is what Paraguay - a major exporter in this sector- wants to offer us", he said.
Among the goods subject to export, the Paraguayan delegation will examine the opportunities to close deals with meat, cereals, sweets and baked products, rice, seeds, and others.
