Laritza Bacallao can become the first Cuban resident in the island to be nominated to 2015 Youth Awards, prizes granted by the US network Univision in the categories of Music, Pop Culture, Sports, Movies & Soap operas.
Known as the "Rihanna of Cuba" by the American press, Laritza thus demonstrates the strong impression caused by her passage through the stages in the United States and Latin America, and the success of Solo se vive una vez, album produced by Planet Records, with which she signed an exclusive contract.
The Cuban artist aims to become the Revelation of the Year, category in which she competes with Cheyo Carrillo, Eli Jas, Johnny Sky, Jonatan Sánchez, Matisse, Remmy Valenzuela, Rolf Sánchez, Sofía Reyes and Yunel Cruz, as announced the official website of the Youth Awards.
The award ceremony will take place on July 16 at the Bank United Center in Miami.
