A team of Cuban top level (freestyle) wrestlers will travel to the US to face their northern counterparts, in friendly match to be held on May 21 at Times Square in New York.
The delegation is headed by Liván López (74 kg), Olympic bronze medallist in London, and Reineris Salas (86 Kg), twice world runner-up, and they will have a tough fight with one of the strongest teams in the world, and it will be an excellent training opportunity for the Antilleans towards Toronto Pan American Games, to be held less than a month later.
Salsa at the Square is the colourful name that has been selected for the show. Its organizers extended the invitation to the Greco-Roman style wrestlers Maikel Anache (59 kg) and Yurisandy Hernández (75 kg), and they’re preparing fights for women which will involve Yusnely Guzmán (48 kg), Yamilka del Valle (53 kg), Jaquelín Stornell (58 kg) and Yudaris Sánchez (69 kg).
