Cuban artist ask for the release of El Sexto

Artists and activists, including Lia Villares and Gorki Aguila Luis, began on Friday an Internet campaign calling for the "immediate release" of graffiti Danilo Maldonado, El Sexto.
The campaign, which consists of a collection of virtual firms in the Change platform boots when they are about to be fulfilled, on 25 March, three months des that the artist was jailed for a performance in which he would use two pigs named Fidel and Raul.
The petition, addressed to General Raul Castro, explains that the artist "for six years has suffered successive arbitrary arrests, detention beyond 72 hours, records in his home and confiscation of his works and working materials".
The sixth, who suffers from asthma and was affected by pneumonia, remains in jail in Valle Grande, "accused of contempt and pending legal proceedings, where he faces a possible sentence of one to three years of imprisonment ".
The petition alleges the lack of freedoms in Cuba and unprotecting of the artists and the right to freedom of expression.
