Yoenis Cespedes hit a grand slam in his first game with Detroit, Ian Kinsler added a three-run homer and the Tigers trounced 15-2 on Tuesday to the Baltimore Orioles at the start of the exhibition games in the majors, reports the AP.

Cespedes disappeared in the fourth inning, the Tigers peeling lead 11-0. Detroit scored the Cuban in a trade with Boston during the winter break.

After a disappointing year, the Dominican Baltimore starter Ubaldo Jimenez gave up six runs in an inning and a third. He gave two walks, two hits and struck also wrong to make a shot.

The Venezuelan designated hitter Victor Martinez was presented to camp Tigers and indicated that his recovery after undergoing knee surgery goes well. Martinez was injured when caught balls in the garden of his house during the preseason.
