The ballplayer Lourdes Y. Gourriel will be added this year to the four Cuban players who play in the Japanese Baseball League, through contracts with INDER.

The youngest of the Gourriel family will join the squad Yokohama DeNA BayStars with his brother Yulieski. In Japan also play Alfredo Despaigne (in Chiba), Frederich Cepeda and Hector Mendoza (both in Yomiuri).

Arnaldo Batista, financial vice-president of the state Cuban Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), said the players are registered to work in three teams of Japanese baseball. "We are currently in the process of negotiating contracts for this season of 2015," said Batista.
