With the installation of about 205 solar heaters several facilities in the province of Cienfuegos reduced consumption of fossil fuel to heat water and assimilate clean energy sources in providing that service.

Raúl González, Technical Director of the Business Unit Base (UEB) Comprehensive Services, referred that during the year the company took projects in vital sectors of the economy such as health and tourism.

Proof of this was the location of 28 collectors in the Faculty of Medical Sciences and another 17 coming into operation in nursing homes and Cumanayagua Lajitas, as part of care for the elderly program.

He noted that in 2014 also completed the construction of the solar system for heating the water in the Hotel Rancho Luna, 120 collectors, the most important work, still under adjustment and commissioning.

The women's prison, a multifamily building official of the Ministry of Interior and Maintenance Company Power Plant were among the beneficiaries centers.

Reinier Martínez, mechanical front design and engineering in the UEB specialist, explained that the technology employed includes Italian, Israeli and Chinese models, the latter variant single or industrial facility for sites with higher loads.

He said that as a design standard in each place the amount of heating is estimated to make up 70% of the fuel required to raise the temperature of water in the most efficient and economical manner.
