Lisandra Guerra and Marlies Mejias ratify Cuba among the world powers of track cycling, ladies, to finish the season among the leading world ranking in several competitive modes.

The recent update of the International Cycling Union, collected Guerra as one of the most stable and competitive sprinters in the world, while Mejias has become one of the most complete riders, with her fifth seat the omnium.

Thus, Guerra seals this year her foreign participation in third place in the 500 meter time trial, with 375 points, and was sixth in the individual speed (505) and fourteenth in the keirin (390).

Meanwhile Mejias closes her competitive campaign in the top five of the omnium, with an aggregate of 345 units behind Britain's Laura Trott (450), the Belgian Jolien D`Hoore (435), the American Sarah Hammer (378) and Polish Katarzyna Pawlowska (352), in that order.

Both runners begin their activities next year when inroads on January 17 and 18 at the concluding stage of the World Cup, which will host the Colombian city of Cali, after obtaining her classification to just Orb February in France , and the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
