Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, received today in Paris to the director of the National Center for Sex Education of Cuba (CENESEX), Mariela Castro Espín.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the unit, the Cuban sexologist made a comprehensive presentation on the work done by the center for human rights in general and in particular the LGBTI (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex).

In turn Fabius said France's readiness to further develop bilateral relations and suggested working together to advance the objectives of CENESEX.

Mariela also met with Benoit Guidée, director for Asia and America, and Veronique Aulagnon, adviser to international organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).

During her visit to France, the director of CENESEX held a meeting with officials of the AIDES association, created in 1984, an entity that is present in over 70 cities and galas dedicated to the fight against HIV-AIDS and hepatitis viral.

This association, one of the most important of its kind in Europe, is working with vulnerable social groups.

Meanwhile, CENESEX, founded in 1989, is a teaching and research institution in the area of human sexuality, which has recognized professionals of different disciplines dealing with a comprehensive approach to study this field.
