Film Fest denounces violence against women

The story of a girl who was kidnapped for eight years, inspired the making of the film 3096 Days, which premiered in Las Tunas, as part of a special series of films by the Day of No Violence Against Women.
Rooms that make the film circuit of the province and video youth clubs Tuesday welcomed the presentation of the film of German director Sherry Hormann, who had the creative concerning the book written by the protagonist of the story Natascha Kampusch.
The exhibition will run until December 10th and it highlights the Argentine-French-Spanish co-production entitled XXY, by Lucía Puenzo, who won several laurels, including the Grand Prize of the Critics' Week at Cannes Festival and Goya for Best Foreign film, both in 2007.
American drama Juno, by Jason Reitman, which deals with teenage pregnancy, and Cuban cartoon series Puberty are included in the cycle, organized by the Cinematheque of Cuba and the Provincial Film Center,.
