As part of the XXXII International Fair of Havana FIHAV 2014 the Chinese businessman Junqiu Gu, president of Nantong Xin Li Ji company, talked about his interest in increasing business with Cuba to open a Trade Representative on the island.

So far, said the company sold in Cuba SOYEA and MIDEA brands. The first gives its name to the popular set-top boxes that are used as part of the digitization of television signals in the country.

Junqiu reported that the Trade Representative in Cuba is still pending approval by the Chamber of Commerce of the Island. His interest is, among other things, to take responsibility in providing customers with business meetings, consulting, support operations sales, after-sales maintenance service, among other services.

Nantong has over five years of trade relations with Cuba, during which he has carved out a large amount of clients within the business that are subordinate to the Ministry of Foreign Trade, as CONSUMIMPORT, and others such as TRD, Cimex SA and Copextel SA.
