Osleni Guerrero fell in the final of the International Badminton Cup, held in Sao Paulo. The Cuban ceded to the Swedish Henri Hurskainen in three sets and 25 minutes, with markers 6-11, 7-11 and 6-11.

That duel for the title in the men's individual event brought together the two leading candidates for the crown, with the representative of Cuba as the second classified, and European as first.

Despite the loss, the Cuban badminton player accumulated in his personal account over three thousand points for the world ranking, in an arena that served as cramming for his foray into the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico.

With this result Guerrero has gotten on the podium six times this season, as he won Opens in Peru and Venezuela, he finished third in the Giraldilla of Havana and at the Grand Prix of Brazil. He was also Pan American Badminton champion held last month in Toronto.
