Charles Chaplin Cinema will host the Dutch Film Week from October 24 to 31. For the fifth time this event is organized in Havana by the Cinematheque of Cuba and with the collaboration of the Embassy of the Netherlands. 

The sample includes 13 films, of which 9 were produced between 2010 and 2014. The inaugural screening will be Price of sugar (2013), a film by Jean van de Velde, based on the bestseller by Cynthia McLeod. It is anticipated that the director and the actress Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing will be present at the opening session.

During the seven days of Dutch cinema will screen El Profe (2012) version of the book by Mirjam Oldenhave account the special relationship between a teacher and one of his students.

A tribute to the known filmmaker Pim de la Parra (Suriname, 1940) will be made with the presentation of Parradoja (2010), documentary film that offers a journey through his interesting and controversial life. The book Odyssey of Love (1987), by Pim de la Parra himself, will be presented for the first time in Cuba.

The fifth edition of Dutch Film Week also invites an approach to life and work of famous painters from the Netherlands, through films like Rembrandt: I Accuse (2008) and Van Gogh's Legacy (2013).
