The third day of the Pan American Volleyball Cup Under 23 ended with another victory for the Cuban team that remains undefeated. This time was El Salvador’s team who suffered against the hosts 3-0.

The event which takes place in the Sports City Coliseum in Havana, will be qualifying for the world cup 2015 in that category. Although Cubans won 3-0 the domain could have been higher if they had not surrendered 22 points to the Salvadorans because of committed mistakes.

The Cuban Abraham Alfonso got the scoring title with 16 points, followed by his companions, Felix Chapman and Inovel Romero with 9 points each, and the Salvadoran Mauricio Rivas (8) was right after them.

The technical director of Cuba, Rodolfo Sanchez, said "the team worked a little better, but players are not hundred percent. Have to keep looking over perfection."

With the victory, the disciples of Rodolfo Sanchez managed the third consecutive, as the Sunday and Monday disposed of Trinidad and Tobago and Guatemala, in that order.

On Friday, the occupants of the fifth and sixth define the location in the standings. Those who finish the playoffs in the third and fourth steps will fight for the bronze medal, and ending in the first and second seats will bump for the title.

The two teams that advance to the struggle for the crown get the two World Cup tickets, representing the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean.
