Cuba and Vietnam reaffirmed today the will to strengthen their economic and trade links, base don respect and friendship that have joined both nations for several decades.

During a business forum of both nations, the president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Estrella Madrigal, said the common potentialities are unlimited.

This meeting offers the opportunity of presenting new projects of foreign investment which allow access to advanced technologies, management methods, know how, external financing, as well as the diversification of export markets and to develop other sources of employment, she explained.

Together with the business sector, said Madrigal, we have to search for new mechanisms and continue showing that it is possible to materialize the will of the leaders of both Parties and Governments to develop our economic relations.

In the first half of this year, bilateral trade output had a 52 percent growth compared to the same period of 2012, she pointed out.

On his part, the second executive secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh, Nguyen Van Dua, extolled this forum in a context where the traditional friendship and cooperation links develop strongly on the basis of sincerity and mutual support.
