Yasniel Toledo, Lazaro Alvarez and Julio Cesar la Cruz are the Cubans listed in the world rankings of the International Boxing Association, the local sports weekly Jit noted.

Toledo, now in the 64 kg division, leads the 60 kilo category with 1,600 points, ahead of Korean Soon Chul Han, who has 1,350, while Alvarez, who took bronze at the London Olympics in 2012, is second in the 56 kg category, with 1,950 units, just behind the Irish John Nevin (2,350).

La Cruz, world champion at Baku-2011 in the 81 kilogram category, has 1,700 points and is third, led by the Kazakh Adilbek Niyazymbetov (2,300), silver medalist at London-2012.

Other boxers with Olympic titles in London, Robeisy Ramirez in the 52 kg category and Roniel Iglesias (64) are fourth and fifth in the ranking.

According to the note, the list will define who will lead the series at the World Championship scheduled for October in Kazakhstan, with preference given to those who register in categories where they gained their points.
