No Xi Jinping, but Cuba played host to Chinese officials this week as well

Senior Communist Party official Guo Jinlong met with the Cuban leader Raul Castro this Saturday, Xinhua reports.
Peng Liyuan and her husband chose to avoid Cuba on their trip to the Americas, taking note perhaps of the controversy that surrounded Peng's American counterpart Beyoncé and her husband's trip to the island nation.
According to Cuban news source Caden Gramonte:
Both leaders stressed the ties of brotherhood that unite the two parties, governments and peoples, and expressed satisfaction for the results of this visit that continues the fruitful exchanges between the two party organizations.
The countries have a long history of mutual support and friendliness, with Cuba being the first country to officially recognize the People's Republic of China, in 1960. China is also Cuba's second largest trading partner.
Guo said that relations between the parties and governments of China and Cuba could not be better, according to Cuban News Agency.
