Cuban-born salsa singer Isaac Delgado sang together with legendary songwriter Silvio Rodriguez at San Indalecio y Correa streets, in Santos Suarez, it was known here Thursday.


I went to visit Silvio, looking for a song, and he gave me a concert as a present said Delgado.

That is hard to believe, for me," said the singer in an interview that will be published in the cuban newspapers La Calle del Medio.

In his blog called La Isla Desconocida (The Unknown Island) Cuban essay writer Enrique Perez Ubieta announced that Issac Delgado will be Silvio Rodriguez' guest in his concert.

Silvio is continuing his concerts on popular neighbourhoods of the city of Havana.

Isaac Delgado said he is working on a CD called "Versos de Mi Cielo" (My Heaven's Verses) with songs of troubadour songwriters, just like Silvio and Pablo Milanes.

Isaac will sing without his group or orchestra, and perhaps he performs one song while playing the piano.

Delgado started and was known as a singer in Cuban group NG La Banda.

Later, he triumphed as a solo singer, founded his own orchestra and kept working.
