Colombia's main rebel group says it is prepared to release a soldier and two policemen kidnapped last month.

The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia also says peace talks with the government are proceeding like "a bullet train," despite past complaints on both sides of slow progress.

The talks are being held in Havana, Cuba.

FARC negotiator Rodrigo Granda says the rebels are prepared to turn the three captives over to the Red Cross as soon as a handover can be arranged.

He said Sunday the rebels would be willing to end all kidnapping, but only if the government of Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos agrees to a mutual cease-fire. Santos has repeatedly refused such a move.

Negotiations to end the half-century old conflict began in October.
