Iran’s ambassador to Cuba Ali Chegeni said that his country’s business people are considering new trade opportunities in the Cuban sectors of technology, investment and the manufacture of industrial equipment.
 
Speaking to reporters at Havana’s 30th International Trade Fair, Chegeni said that the trust by Iranian entrepreneurs in the Cuban market constitutes the basic step to expand bilateral commercial relations with Havana.
 
The diplomat explained that trade opportunities are being identified in the manufacture of industrial equipment, including components and parts, gas and oil containers, domestic appliances and other productions for the construction sector.
 
Meanwhile, Cuban deputy Foreign Trade and Investment minister Orlando Hernandez said that Iran and Cuba agreed to boost actions in the fields of mines, energy, sports, the industrial and water resources sectors.
The Cuban government official also called on both parties to further advance ongoing business projects and find opportunities for new deals.
 
Iran is represented at the Trade Fair by 18 companies in the field of shoes, industrial equipment and services, and the petrochemical area.
