Cuban President Raul Castro received El Salvador’s First Lady and Secretary for Social Inclusion, Doctor Vanda Pignato, who is on a working visit to Cuba. Raul Castro and Vanda Pignato addressed the development of bilateral relations and other issues of regional and international interest. The Cuban Head of State sent greetings to Salvadorian President Mauricio Funes.

The meeting was attended by Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez.

Also on Tuesday afternoon, the Cuban President  received Jamaica’s Foreign Relations and Trade minister Arnold Joseph Nicholson, who is on an official visit to the island.

During the cordial meeting, Raul Castro and Joseph Nicholson addressed the state of bilateral relations between Havana and Kingston and they also exchanged views on the regional situation and international issues.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Jamaican ambassador to Cuba A Dale George Robinson. Also present at the encounter was Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez. (RHC).
