Cuba beat China Taipei on Saturday and reached its second victory against four defeats in Pre-Olympic Women´s Volleyball Tournament. The Cubans came down to win the first set 27-25 and then dominated the next ones 25-17 and 25-21, with Yoana Palacios as its best player, who scored 16 points. Wilma Salas and Ana Lidia Cleger scored 12 points each.

For the China Taipei´s team the most outstanding player was Chen Wan Ting, who scored 11 points. That team has not won a match since the beginning of the tournament on May 19.

The tournament will award four tickets to London-2012 Olympics, one of them to best ranked Asian team after the medalists.
