The Pan American engineering experts gather in Havana

From Monday, April 9 meets in Havana XXXIII Convention of the Pan American Federation of Engineering (UPADI) that welcomes professionals from around 30 countries.
The Palace of Conventions of Havana will host the opening ceremony with representatives of the 27 partner nations, mostly in Latin America, Spain as an observer, and others who decided to join the exchange of experiences and specialized information.
Irene Campos Gomez, President of the UPADI and Minister of Housing and Human Affairs of Costa Rica leads the group of personalities who have confirmed their attendance at 17 events of the Convention, together with Emilio Colon, Puerto Rico, at the head of the World Council Civil Engineering.
It will also Victorio Oxilia Davalos, Paraguay, and Secretary General of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), said Cecilia Santos Suarez, the meeting of the Organizing Committee and the National Union of Architects and Construction Engineers of Cuba.
He specified that key issues are related to maintenance engineering, ocean and coastal mechanical, electrical and industrial watersheds, environment and heritage tourism linked both to urban development, applied chemistry and earthquake resistant structures.
One of the largest delegations is the United States, experts in the Technical Education and Anticorrosive of the organization, which in turn are the Coordinators of each of these disciplines.
This quote from the professionals in the region will pass near the IX Construction Fair (FECONS 2012), which will be played at the venue of PABEXPO from Tuesday 10 to Friday 14, for the promotion and marketing of products, services and technologies .
Havana previously served as headquarters of the UPADI two meetings: one in 1951 and the twentieth in 1988.
The program also includes the General Assembly, which will be at the Hotel Melia Cohiba, according to its sponsors.
