Pinar del Rio Nersys writer Philip was awarded the National Prize for Literature which he dedicated to his home province. He said that this was a huge honor that made her feel small.
In a ceremony held at the Fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña, chaired by the Minister of Culture Abel Prieto, the author of Tales of Guane and other evidence of children's literature, advocated returning to childhood neglected or forgotten values.
Ambrosio Fornet, an author devoted to the twenty-first International Book Fair of Havana, also received the homage of those who qualified as a teacher foundational text editing and key figure in the revolutionary essays.
Sunday activities at the fair were devoted to our region, with the presentation of The Caribbean in the XXI century: joints, prospects and challenges, Milagros Martinez and Jacquelín Laguardia.
