The bulk carrier arrived Abdala yesterday morning in the harbor of Havana, in its first commercial voyage with a cargo of bagged rice from the neighboring Republic of Vietnam, voyage that lasted over 30 days, including the crossing of the channel Panama.

Newly built in shipyards in China and with a deadweight of 35 000 tons, the vessel is designed to carry bulk cargo, like grain, ore concentrates and wood.

With excellent conditions for the services it provides, it is equipped with modern navigation technology, the ship has four cranes of 30 tons each, five wineries to move the load and a speed of 13.5 knots commercial when loaded.

The addition of commercial traffic Abdala ship of our country, will increase the efficiency and quality of freight transportation services, in compliance with the Guidelines 269 and 273, approved by the Sixth Party Congress in policy for transport.
