Cubadisco 2012 International Fair, the largest event recording Cuba, will honor the late musician and singer Francisco Repilado (Compay Segundo), 105 years after his birth.

This time dedicated to the classical guitar and popular in all its expressions, also pay tribute to two other prominent composers and performers of this instrument: Child Vicente Rojas and González Rubiera (Guyún).

The musician Leo Brouwer, considered among the five best guitarists alive in the world, will be the honorary president of this 16 title edition will Cubadisco on the island of a thousand strings.

Artists and groups from various latitudes participate in the party label, from 19 to 27 May.

According to organizers, the conference will include several concerts of stringed instruments instruments present in the rock, jazz, repentismo, among others.

In parallel there will be a symposium on how the guitar, along with the lute and the three became a symbol of Cuban identity.
