Santiago de Veraguas, Panama, Oct 9 (Prensa Latina) On Sunday, Cuba will face Nicaragua in the last game of the 39th Baseball World Cup qualifying round, held in four cities of the country.

Cubans, who are already qualified for the second round, will face Nicaraguans at the Omar Torrijos Stadium in this city, while seeking to extend their winning streak (6) in the tournament, in a game that will not decide anything for neither of them.

The Cuban team, current runner-up world champion, appointed right-handed Miguel Lahera as starter, who will make his second appearance at the tourney.

Cuba has previously faced Nicaragua in 30 World Cup games, including 26 victories and only four defeats.

On Sunday, the most outstanding games will be Italy-Venezuela, Dominican Republic-South Korea, Netherlands-Panama, United States-Canada, and also Puerto Rico-Chinese Taipei.

The last date of the qualifying round also includes games between Australia-Germany and Japan-Greece.
