Guadalajara, Oct 8 (Prensa Latina) Brazilian athletes are already strolling the streets of Guadalajara, after arriving in this Mexican city that will be the venue of the 16th Pan Am Games starting on October 14.

Members of the Brazilian table tennis team arrived in Guadalajara on Friday to begin the last leg of their preparation, while most of the Brazilian delegation will start arriving this Saturday.

Sources of the Brazilian delegation said that some 90 athletes of the rythmic gymnastics, squash, shooting, handball, badminton, cycling, synchornized swimmiing, archery, equestrian sports and taekwondo will be arriving over the weekend.

In all, Brazil have entered 519 athletes to compete in Pan Am Games, the full delegation will be in Guadalajara by the 20th.

Brazil placed third in the past continental games, with 157 medals, 52 gold, 50 silver and 65 bronze, and this year its sports authorities are expecting to win the second place by country, displacing Cuba.
