The 12th International Wine Festival starts on Wednesday October 5 in Havana giving wine experts a new opportunity to learn about the latest world trends and the best products from the field commercialized in the Cuban market.

Hotel Nacional’s sales specialist Victor G. Rosquete Perez told the media that the growth of the Cuban tourism market and the increasing gastronomic potential of the island have raised the interest of wine producing and commercializing companies in the Havana event.

Rosquete Perez said the Hotel’s Salon 1930 meeting room will welcome specialists who will exchange experiences, firm up distribution deals, establish contacts and evaluate the way in which new brands and products are marketed.

In addition to the Festival’s traditional activities, presentations, launching of products, master lectures, the event features a new space called “Wine is Culture” aimed at increasing the knowledge of wine specialists and tasters.

According to the Organizing Committee, there will be food and beverage buyers for hotels, maîtres, chefs, bar tenders, executives and professors from Cuban tourism schools attending the event.(ACN)
