29 de septiembre de 2011, 16:16Panama, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) The Cubans won the first three, 14-3 and 7-3 against host Panama and 7-1 over Venezuela. The 2011 World Baseball Cup will open in Panama on Saturday, with the game between the teams of Panama and Greece, of Group A.

The heads of the national baseball teams of Cuba and Nicaragua agreed on a friendly game, as part of preparation for the upcoming World Cup in Panama, scheduled from October 1st to 15th.

The game is the fourth to be played by the Cuban team in Panama prior to the opening of the tournament.

A day later, the rest of the participating teams will see action, divided into two elimination groups.

Group A is made up of the United States (defending champion), Japan, Chinese Taipei, Holland, Greece, Canada, Puerto Rico and Panama.

The teams of Cuba (runner-up), Italy, Germany, Nicaragua, South Korea, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic will be gathered in Group B.
