The quintet, which visits Cuba for the first time, is made up of Brian Moorhead, principal clarinet; Anthony Georgeson, principal bassoon; Katherine Young, principal oboe; Clay Ellerbroek, principal flute; and Robert Rearden, principal French horn.

They will be playing pieces by American composers such as George Gershwin (Three Preludes for piano), Samuel Barber (Summer Music), and Irving Fine (Partita). They will also play pieces by German Paul Hindemith, Brazilian Heitor Villa-Lobos, and French Jacques Ibert.

As an encore selection, the group will be playing Oblivion by Piazzolla, the Argentinean tango master.(ACN)
