HAVANA, Cuba.-  Cuba’s central region will be the venue, from September 26th through the 30th, of the 8th International Meeting of Nature Tourism, Turnat 2011, which will be attended by 230 travel agents, tour operators, consultants and specialized journalists from Canada, the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Ecuador, Panama and Cuba, the host country.

During Turnat 2011, delegates will tour the Hanabanilla, a protected natural landscape in Villa Clara province, which stands out for its valuable resources of flora and fauna and important hydrographic basins; El Nicho, in Cienfuegos, one of the most attractive places of the Guamuhaya mountainous massif; Topes de Collantes and the Zaguanes National park, a biosphere reserve, the two of them in the province of Sancti Spiritus.

According to the Tourism Ministry, Canada is the nation sending the largest amount of tourists to the Caribbean island. The United Kingdom is the most important in this regard from Europe, followed by Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Mexico, Argentina and Russia, among other countries. (ACN)
