Insight Cuba, a New Rochelle, N.Y.-based people-to-people travel provider, announced it is offering a program that includes participation in the annual Havana marathon Nov. 20.

American athletes can participate in a five-day tour Nov. 17-21 that will culminate in the Marabana Marathon, the company announced in a press release. The people-to-people tour may include meetings with the Cuban runners’ association, disabled athletes, touring the ministry of sports, and visiting a local school, Insight Cuba said.

Established in 1987, the Havana Marathon draws an international crowd, including some of the world’s top runners. The course winds its way through avenues in Havana and past historic places, including the Malecón, Old Havana, the Hotel Nacional, and Revolution Square.

Insight Cuba is a division of Cross-Cultural Solutions, a 16-year old independent not-for-profit that has allowed 25,000 travelers to participate in people-to-people travel.
