2011.09.16 - 11:41:33 / radiorebelde.icrt.cu. HAVANA, Cuba.-  Specialists from more than 20 countries will participate in the International Congress of the Cuban Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (ORTOPEDIA 2011), scheduled for September 19-24 in Havana.

Dr. Rodrigo Alvarez Cambras, president of this group and of the event’s organizing committee, announced that more than 500 experts —including 200 Cubans— will attend the meeting to give and receive updated information on this medical specialty.

Alvarez Cambras, director and founder of the Frank Pais International Orthopedics Scientific Complex —which will host the event—, added that Cuba will show its latest advances in this field, including a prosthesis of shoulder and elbow.

In parallel with the Congress, other events such as the Second Cuba-Mexico Bi-national Meeting on Orthopedics and Traumatology will take place with the presence of over 100 Mexican specialists.

Alvarez Cambras told ACN that ORTOPEDIA 2011 will also include a commercial exhibition with 21 stands with products from France, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Italy, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Cuba. (ACN)
