CUBA — For the seventh consecutive year, Cuba will host a festival that might simply be described as “stinking good.”

Sponsored by the Cuba New York Chamber of Commerce, the seventh annual Cuba Garlic Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Empire City Farms, 105 South St. Admission will be $5 per person, or free for ages 8 and under, and parking will also be free of charge. Pets will not be allowed.

Chamber coordinator Jim Sherrard said this year’s festival will include more than 100 vendors, such as garlic growers from throughout the state and about 20 vendors selling various garlic-related foods.

“(The food) really varies from vendor to vendor,” he said. “(Food will include) everything from your typical carnival-type fare all the way to having a little more sophisticated menu. A lot of (the vendors) are local, but we do have some that come from out of the area.”
