2011 Cyclone Season Remains Active

Por Ana Luisa Brown. jueves, 08 de septiembre de 2011. Washington, Sep 8 (Prensa Latina) The Atlantic basin and Mexican Gulf have been affected by two Tropical storms and a hurricane that confirmed meteorologist weather forecast of an active cyclone season for 2011.
Nate is the name of the last system developed so far which is 205 kilometres west of Campeche, Mexico.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC), with headquarters in Miami, reports that the system has maximum sustain wind of 75 kilometres per hour but greater evolution is expected and should become a hurricane while moving to the Mexican States of Veracruz and Tamaulipas.
In addition, Maria Tropical storm is moving fast trough the tropical Atlantic and was located this morning at 1,510 kilometres east-southeaster of the Leeward Islands that will get close on Friday morning, reported NHC.
Katia, with maximum winds of 150 kilometres per hour remains a category one hurricane on the Saffir/Simpson scale from a maximum of five, and is located between Bermudas Islands and the East Coast of United States, noted NHC.
The cyclone season that began on June 1st is going through its more active period regarding the formation of natural phenomena that usually ends about September 10.
