2011.09.05 - 08:33:28 / radiorebelde.icrt.cu / Las Tunas, Cuba.-  Las Tunas city´s coat of arms was conferred to Carlos Alberto Cremata Balmerti, scriptwriter, artistic director of the Cuban Television and graduated in Pedagogical Sciences degree of theater direction, who is also author of over 50 scripts of the local TV series entitled ´Y dice una mariposa´ and ´Cuando yo sea grande.

During the ceremony, Martha Rodríguez Martínez, secretary of the Municipal Assembly of the People´s Power, highlighted the outstanding personality of the national theater whose work has constituted a beautiful contribution to our nation´s culture.

The coat of arms of Las tunas constitutes the top distinction awarded by the Municipal Assembly of the People´s Power in that region to personalities, Cuban and foreign groups, taking into account their merits and contributions to the development of the territory.

Carlos Alberto Cremata, general director of the Colmenita infantile theater company, received the recognition from Osvaldo Pérez Vega, president of the Municipal Assembly, to whom he expressed his immense gratitude for such honor.

Cremata thanked the warm welcome by the people and invited them to watch the Abracadabra play which is a product that invites to reflect constantly from each individual´s point of view.

“The most important for us is not to repeat cold slogans, on the contrary, it is always to continue looking for what is essential, just like Fidel, Raúl Castro and Martí have always asked from all of us. All the great founder fathers of the motherland ask for the children to think by themselves, therefore, that is the main goal of the Abracadabra play. Besides, watched from the children angle, for instance, one of the main Cuban current issues is the freedom of our five heroes, where children do not simply repeat, they make reflections on the meaning and talk about the issue by feeling confident on their return to the motherland.”

Teresa Amarelle Boué, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in that province, and Lilian González Rodríguez, president of the Provincial Assembly of the People´s Power, also attended the premiere of the Colmenita infantile group at the Tunas Theater.

The Colmenita infantile theater company will present on Thursday and Friday at 400 pm, respectively. The plays entitled ´Elpidio Valdés and Los Van Van, ´ along with some fragments of songs from the Adalberto Álvarez y su son band.  By Juan Manuel Olivares and Translated by: Juan Carlos Caballero Puig
