A report by Prensa Latina says in presenting the product in Belarus, LABIOFAM’s experts Alexis Diaz and Alejandro Gonzalez explained that Vidatox was made out of venom from a Cuban scorpion which has been proved efficient as an anti-tumor, analgesic and anti-inflammatory.

Vidatox, which is the commercial name of the product, was developed by Labiofam 15 years ago and was used in trials in thousands on patients in Cuba and abroad.

The toxins of the blue scorpion (Rhopalurus junceus) contain low-molecular weight proteins which anti-tumor properties, which improves the life quality of patients with certain types of cancer.

During their stay in the European country, the Cuban scientists met with Belarus’ deputy health minister Valery Shevchuk, and with representatives of the National Academy of Sciences and several oncology institutions of that country.(ACN)
