Cuban representatives won 15 titles on Wednesday during the third day of competitions of the Fourth Games of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of the Americas (ALBA Games), under way in several Venezuelan states, and remained second in the medal standings of the multi-sport event attended by more than 2,000 athletes from 23 countries.

This is the fourth edition of the games

The competition is led by the host country with 43 crowns, 45 silver, and 22 bronze, for a total of 110 medals. Cuba places second (21-7-14-42) followed by Chile (6-2-0-8) and Colombia (3-4-3-10).

On Wednesday, Cuban Greco-Roman wrestlers had an almost-perfect performance winning six out of seven titles up for grabs. The winners were Mijain Lopez, Pablo Shorey, Gustavo Balart, Hansel Meoque, Pedro Mulén, and Yunior Estrada while the only loss was for Maily Raúl Consuegra, who lost in the finale to host Luillys Pérez.

In addition, Cuban representatives won four titles in rowing and one in table tennis. Other gold medals were for weightlifter Sergio Alvarez and swimmer Yumisleidys Morales.
